Mary Bottari is the deputy director and managing editor of the Center for Media and Democracy (CMD), which publishes ExposedbyCMD.org, ALECexposed.org, PRwatch.org and Sourcewatch.org.
She helped launch CMD’s award-winning ALEC Exposed investigation in 2011 and is a recipient of the Hillman Prize for investigative journalism. Before coming to CMD, Mary worked for the consumer group Public Citizen and served as a senior analyst on trade, financial services, chemical and food safety. For many years, she has been part of the Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD), an international consumer organization that strongly backed the European Union’s regulatory chemicals regime known as REACH.
